We had another great Zoom session on Friday - I hope you are all busy practising your song as we need them all sent back to us by this Friday (June 5th). - Spellbound Unit 31: Complete A+B and learn Box 1
- Read the poem First Day at School (see below)
- Answer the questions on the poem(worksheet below)
Maths:
- Master Your Maths Week 21+22 Test (you may already have this completed- recheck)
- Planet Maths Let’s Look Back p199 B (use your maths journals to help you)
- you can only add or subtract fractions with the same denominator (bottom number)so you may need to change a fraction to a different denominator keeping it equivalent

- to multiply fractions just multiply across the top and multiply across the bottom, then simplify
- to divide fractions turn the second one upside down and multiply
- eg 8 ÷1/8 = put the whole number 8 over 1 to start;

- Poem: Using the poem from Tuesday’s work as inspiration make up your own poem on your First Day at school. You could be thinking of your first day in secondary school and what it might feel like or think back to your first day in primary school. You will have two days to complete this. Please send your poem to me when it is completed tomorrow. It can be a rhyming poem, a poem that is like a narrative(telling a story), free verse (doesn’t have to rhyme), or an acrostic poem (letters written going down vertically) For eg;

Gaeilge:
- Sin É ; p. 159 Uimhreacha. Críochnaigh na habairtí 1-5 (use the blue box to help)
- Please ask at home if there is a few jobs you can do to help
- Complete the well being worksheet (see below). It is discussing ‘Dealing with worries’. There are two worksheets. The first just gives examples of ways to deal with worries and the second worksheet asks you to write down two worries and ways you might deal with them. Ask your parents/guardians for help with this and have a discussion on it at home. If you can print them off that is great and if not simply write it in your copy or on a page. Please have these with you at the Zoom Meeting tomorrow in case we discuss this. There will be no pressure on anyone to have to speak it is only if you would like to! We all have lots of the same worries and perhaps finishing primary school and moving to secondary school is one of them!
